A Sweet Valentines Morning

Thursday, February 14, 2013

Happy Valentines Day, friends! I woke up this morning to the smell of bacon and homemade waffles made by my sweet husband. Gluten free almond yogurt waffles to be exact...and they were incredible. We shared a delicious breakfast in bed complete with coffee, sweet presents and beautiful tulips. I know Valentines is such a corny holiday, but it's fun to extra romantic with your significant other. Even though I have an incredibly romantic husband all the time, might I add ;)

I'm so thankful for my dear, Trent. We've been married for 9 months now and every month has been wonderful and challenging all at the same time...but I couldn't have asked for a better life with this guy.

Here's a small paragraph from my vows on our wedding day. I still mean every single word...

"Understanding that loving you is a choice, I commit to making that choice today and every day for the rest of our lives. I promise with the help of God to keep myself honest and open with you, to be considerate of your feelings and to always communicate what I feel inside of me. I promise to love you more each day, even in the hardest and worst of times. I promise to be the strength you need when you are weak, the calm in the storm and the blanket when you are cold."

I love you Mr. Nicholson. Happy Valentines Day xo

  5. I'm so jealous of the breakfast. And those vows are perfect - I always feel that people underestimate the power of choosing someone. I always hear people saying things like 'I need you' to their significant other, whereas I've always thought 'i don't need you, but I want you - I'm with you entirely by choice and not at all by necessity.' Personally I think it's the best way to love. Sorry, I got a rambly there! x
